Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit....

There's a frog loose in my house, again. This time the victim is the pink suede. Grrr.... What happened? Well it goes something like this. (wavy effect into flashback)

As I posted before, I learned how to knit righty to go with my lefty. Well, if you don't REMEMBER YOU ARE KNITTING IN GARTER STITCH and don't PURL THE NEXT ROW INSTEAD OF KNITTING IT, guess what happens. You totally screw it up, and, as regularly happens for me, I tried to fix the problem, and totally made a mess. (end flashback)

So, now I am left with a flower shaped dishcloth and the infernal sock that I am terrified of doing the heel. I will cast on for the sweater, again. It's just that 169 stitches in wool in 90+ degree weather does not really appeal to me at the moment. So, I think I will stick to small, light, cottony things until November. Or maybe the lace shawl I have been wanting to do, and now that I have the "Folk Shawls" book, should do. Plus with Med/Surg starting in a week, I know whatever knitting I get to do will be minimal at best.

Other fun discoveries, when I knit lefty I knit Continental, and when I knit righty, I knit English. I am just all sorts of confused. Oh, and I think I may possibly be the slowest knitter in the world. :P

My son is a regular Karate Kid. He has added three stripes on his yellow belt in as many weeks. Next week he gets to test for his orange belt. Pride, pride, pride.

Tonight he goes to visit Grandma for the weekend. That means major house cleaning/repair, a date night with the hubby, and a visit to Elegant Stitches for my Mother's Day Gift. :)

'Til next time....

W. :)
