There is light, and it is good.....

We have power again. Actually, we have had it for a while. I have just been too swamped to post. The things I am happiest about most....

1) My fan, because I can not sleep hot.
2) My two shows (House, MD and Grey's Anatomy) in color on a screen bigger than a tissue box.
3) Hot water.
4) The ability to read without going blind.

Got the news that we are going to the Land of Mouse for the annual birthday trip. This time we are going to Epcot, where David has never been. We will celebrate the "Holidays Around the World." (always a favorite) I am so looking forward to this trip. A much needed and well deserved getaway, after this semester.

School is being a real be-otch. It seems like we have a test every week lately, and thanks to the never ending hurricane season (we have another storm coming our way), we are so far behind, that our instructor is cramming as much as possible into these last few weeks.

I've got a solid "B" in Med-Surg. I'm teetering into "C" territory in pharm. I am frustrated with pharmacology. The last test we took this week, we were allowed to bring a sheet of paper with whatever we wanted on it. We all created our own, and we circulated them around to see which one worked the best. I stuck with my own. However, it didn't matter, because the teacher wrote the questions in a way that made the paper pretty useless, and she picked the most obscure items from the test to make into question.

Several of my classmates are considering dropping out. Some, like my friend Kim, I can't figure out why she has such a hard time. She studies 20 times more than I do. She does all the "right" things: takes notes, makes flash card, etc. etc. And she is scraping by. It seems so unfair.

In other news....I got to teach a contraception class here at the University. That was exciting, and not too scary considering it was only 3 students. But, I have a lot of information to impart, and they were very receptive. So, I feel I helped a lot.

Last night, the family went to see "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." It was good, tho' not as good as HP3. They had to cut a bit out from the book, since the book was so long, and they added some things I don't remember reading, but seeing the Triwizard Tournament was amazing.

Well, now that I have wasted a good hour and a half of study time with playing on the computer, I guess I'd best get to work.

W. :)
